COSIMO CONCEPT
The Cosimo oil bottle is inspired by the iconic shape of the hot-air balloon, a symbol of freedom and carefreeness. It takes its shape of roundness and transforms it into a graphic mark, like a delicate detail.
It is named after the protagonist of Italo Calvino's novel The Baron in the Trees, an emblem of Italian literature. In order to abandon a life spent in the trees, Cosimo relies on a hot-air balloon, which, in the tale, takes on the allegorical meaning of freedom.
In the natural flow of life, nonconformity makes room, the strength of not wanting to live a life common to all. A life that gives way to a new one, in the The Baron in the Trees the protagonist Cosimo, a brave and fragile man, rises to the hope of a better future.
Cosimo at the end of his life, changes and reborn in a new way. Thanks to the material (glazed ceramic), it presents sustainable and recyclable packaging. The oil bottle recalls freedom and harmony, intended to honor the hope of a new future, concept that is reflected in the production, supporting the territory and craftsmanship.
Cosimo is home to a delicious oil.
